The Schafer Cabin is the easternmost cabin in the southern part of Rocky Ford. These cabins date back to an earlier time when the region was primarily used for mining stone from the nearby quarry.
Before she married, Fiona Schafer grew up in this cabin with her parents. Her mother was often absent because of familial obligations, and her father worked in the quarry and often brought interesting rocks home for his daughter. When Fiona married Josef Schafer (now deceased), they moved first to the small home at the northeastern edge of the map and then to the Schafer Ranch, but the family continues to maintain Fiona's cabin, and Fiona visits regularly.
