In the west central portion of Rocky Ford is what remains of Holtz Tree Farm, now owned by the Schafer family, but not much used. The Holtz family were woodcutters who also ran an evergreen farm, but long ago, they left the area. The house has been boarded shut for many years, but the area is still heavily wooded, and various residents of Stoffton can occasionally be found in the area, enjoying the dense growth of trees.
